DOCTOR CALIGARI

DOCTOR CALIGARI

“Doctor Caligari” are a Psychobilly band based in Wales, with songs inspired by a lifelong love of all things horror, lust and good old rock and roll.
Fronted by vocalist Mr. E (formerly of the popular
Steampunk band Ghostfire), they released their debut E.P
on Halloween 2012, featuring the tracks written
by guitarist Johnny Horror: “Creepy Horror Town”,
“She Likes It Spooky”, “London After Midnight”,
“The Dirty Dead” & “Corpses In Her Bed”.
The limited CD edition contained an
additional bonus track entitled “The Curse Of The Monkey’s Paw”.
The E.P. was mixed by Andi Herr of “Heyday Studios”
(who mixed and mastered Demented Are Go’s
“Welcome Back To Insanity Hall”) and mastered by
Pete Maher of “Top Floor Music”
 (who has an impressive discography
of work including releases by U2, The Killers, Linkin Park & Nine Inch Nails).
The track “She Likes It Spooky” was included on Underground Music Unites’ Halloween compilation, which also featured bands including “The Stellar Corpses”, “Calabrese”, “Kitty In A Casket” and “The Hellfreaks”. While “London After Midnight” would later appear on UK Punk label Punkallicious’ second compilation release.
Due to increasing popularity, the band released a limited edition 7″ Clear Vinyl of “London After Midnight”, with “(She’s Got) Corpses in Her Bed” as the B side in March 2013, with the first pressing selling out on the day of release.
In December 2012, the band launched their first video, for the song “She Likes It Spooky”, filmed and edited by Dan Cayzer, featuring a guest appearance by alternative model Jenevieve Vaudine Van-Veda.
Having shared the stage with some of the biggest names in psychobilly including The Meteors, Demented Are Go, Tall Boys, The Legendary Raw Deal, Hillbilly Rawhide & The Surfrats, Doctor Caligari also played to an audience of 200+ Horror lovers at the 2012 “Abertoir Horror Festival” – the UK’s longest running Horror Festival.
From live performances and their self funded releases, Doctor Caligari is gaining a cult like status in the UK, across Europe and North & South America, appealing to fans of a wide range of alternative tastes including Psychobilly, Horror Punk, Steampunk & Goth.
